SR 28/SR 213 roundabout public hearing

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is proposing to improve the intersection of S.R. 28 and S.R. 213 near the Town of Hobbs in Tipton County by constructing a single-lane roundabout. The project is expected to improve safety by reducing the number and severity of crashes at the intersection.

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2027 and last one year. During construction, S.R. 28 and S.R. 213 will be closed for approximately 6 months at a time. Signed detours will be provided.

The proposed roundabout is designed to accommodate large trucks and farm equipment and will include updated signage, pavement markings, and drainage improvements.
